Agents and support teams often get confused when trying to define an Off-Market listing vs. an Off-Market sale, so we thought we would help out with the descriptions below;

Off-Market listings

 - These are listings that are set to have the status of Off-Market. This is a standard status setting in all versions of XML, so all sites have some way of recognising this status and hiding any listings with it from public view.

Off-Market sales

 - These are listings that are set to have the status of Available, but have a custom field, often a tickbox, that allows users to identify the listing as an Off-Market sale. As this custom field is only relevant to client websites, but not the major real estate portals, Off-Market sales will appear on these portals as normal, unless otherwise specified.

NB. This requires you to have Off-Market sales enabled for your website. Contact us if you don't know if this is enabled on your site.

So if you have a listing that you want to hide from all websites, you have an Off-Market listing.

If you have a listing that you want to show only in the Off-Market section of your company website, and you have Off-Market sales enabled on your site, you have an Off-Market sale.
